With the usual parade and the laying of a wreath in front of the bust of José Martí in the park that bears his name in the city of Ciego de Ávila, bank workers celebrated the 64th anniversary of the nationalisation of Cuban banking, and expressed their commitment to diversify services in pursuit of greater quality and efficiency in serving the people.
The moment was an opportunity to recognise the work of René Groero Cruz, María Elena Castro Goicochea, Gliceria de la Caridad Morales Fernández, Ana Bárbara Galván Noa and Iván Marcelino González Valdés, from the Banco Popular de Ahorro (BPA) branch, and Odalys Parrilla Parada and Eduardo Sosa Sosa, from the Banco de Crédito y Comercio (Bandec), for 40 uninterrupted years in the sector.
