Avilanians dedicate a productive tribute to Fidel (+ photos)

At the foot of the furrows, to promote one of the works that requires more effort and results because food production is the first priority economic task in Cuba, the 97th anniversary of the birth of the Commander in Chief was celebrated in the province of Ciego de Ávila Fidel Castro Ruz.

In all the municipalities of Ciego de Ávila, mobilizations were carried out towards agriculture. The main voluntary work day on August 13 took place at the Enrique Varona Agricultural Production Cooperative, from the municipality of Morón, where some 23 hectares of sugarcane were planted, with the participation of workers from the different workplaces in the province, whose activity was chaired by Liván Izquierdo Alonso, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Party in Ciego de Ávila.

In the middle of the field, several participants received the card as new members of the youth and partisan organizations. While the trophies that symbolize the condition of the 70th Anniversary of Moncada were awarded, by the union movement, to the National Vanguard collectives belonging to the Jardines del Rey International Airport, the Brush and Plastic Articles Company (Cepil), the Pullman Cayo hotel Coco and the Education Supply and Services Company (EPASE).

The tribute to the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution also featured special morning meetings, sanitation work, photo exhibitions, talks and meetings with history, among other initiatives, as part of the political movement Beat for a January of Victories.
