The Cuban Baseball and Softball Federation (FCBS) announced today the presence of 69 players at the tryout scheduled for the coming 28th and 29th in the capital’s Estadio Latinoamericano, with the presence of talent scouts from several foreign clubs.
The group is made up of the 58 who earned it in evaluations organised in the west, centre, east and Havana, as well as 11 members of the current pre-selection for the Premier 12 Tournament.
The specialists in charge of these tests reported that Damian Moreno from Granma had the best time in the 60-yard dash (6.05 seconds) and Leonardo Sevilla from Villaclareño stood out in the home to first swing (3.69 seconds).
In addition, Havana’s Dayron Miranda was the best in the throw from right field to third (power of 90 miles and time of arrival of the ball to the base of 3.78 seconds). And there were five pitchers with 90 mph deliveries.
