The Board of Directors of the Cadena Provincial de Radio in Ciego de Avila announced that the Festival of this media will be adjusted to the awards ceremony, at the gala to be held on September 6, 2024, at nine o’clock in the evening, due to the fact that all the municipal competitions were theoretical events.

Alfredo Fernández Arcia, the highest representative of the parent company, assured that, more than a contest, the event will consist of the union of artists and journalists in the heart of the town, and will be dedicated to the prestigious radio broadcasters Cecilia Rodríguez Saavedra and Ibrahím Ulloa Figueredo.

For the contest, the categories of the national call for entries will be maintained, as well as others to be established by the jury, which will be made up of outstanding professionals selected from each radio station in the network.

The grassroots event began at Radio Amanecer, continued at the local station in Morón and will close next week in Chambas, and so far excellent quality proposals have been submitted.

Among other surprises, the gala of the most important event of the Avila’s radio broadcasters will feature artists Dayibi Luna, José Carlos Alfonso and Lucy Safont, a woman of passions and contagious energy.

According to Fernández Arcia, it will be the «Festival of all» in search of quality, freshness and an audiovisual product that is more similar to the audiences and closer to their interests, due to its proximity, history and the identity of each of the places where the radio stations of the province are located.
