With flowers on the José Martí´s bust, located in the park of the same name in the main city, the 47th edition of the Provincial Youth Seminar for Martian Studies began, a space for research, study and dissemination of the thought of our Hero National.

Claudia Ruiz Alpízar, president of the Martí Youth Movement in the province, explained that it was a profitable day, in which papers and works were discussed, mostly related to Martí’s ideology as an expression of the revolutionary interests of the Cuban people and the ideology of Marti in Fidel.

Getting closer to Martí, one of our central and most important figures in the history and culture of our nation is one of his essential objectives, delving into his legacy and the challenges of bringing his thought to the present and applying it.

Three commissions participated, one artistic for the manifestations of plastic arts and literature; another for the members of the Federation of High School Students and the José Martí Pioneers Organization, and the last one for young people and workers.
