The deficit in the delivery of cow’s milk in the municipality was among the most discussed topics at the monthly work plenary meeting presided over in Majagua by the member of the Central Committee and its first secretary in the province of Ciego de Avila, Liván Izquierdo Alonso.

In the meeting, which was also attended by Governor Alfre Menéndez Pérez, among other leaders, it was called to increase the controls and with all the factors of the community to tighten the work links with the producers in order to overcome the levels of delivery of the vital food.

Other aspects discussed in depth were the work projections for this year and the work commitments with the political movement «LATIR POR UN 26 AVILEÑO», which Izquierdo Alonso proposed should be reevaluated and strengthened with respect to the execution of the tasks.

Also in this area, the sanitary situation was analyzed in view of the new danger of COVID, predicted by the World Health Organization with a stronger strain than the one known as «Delta», for which a group of aspects were urged to be implemented, among them: the revision of vaccination schedules and measures to be taken immediately by each administrative direction.

The meeting was also an opportunity to acknowledge the solidarity contribution of the five sugar cane producers’ collectives of southwest Avila, which allowed the purchase of tires for the ambulance of the territory to render its vital service again.
