The Leñadores de Las Tunas left the Yumurinos Cocodrilos 8-7 on the field and broke a streak of nine successive victories in the II Cuban Elite Baseball League, which is in its seventh particular sub-series.

At the Julio Antonio Mella stadium, the game was tied at 7-7 in the ninth in which Danel Castro received a ticket, advanced to second on a ground ball hit by Héctor Castillo and then there was an intentional base on balls to Jean Lucas Baldoquín.

And in its Guillermón Moncada stadium, Santiago de Cuba defeated Sancti Spíritus 6-1, with good batting by the leading man José Luis Gutiérrez, who went 4-3 and drove in a run. First victory for Wilber Reyna, who in 6.0 innings gave up five singles and five strikeouts.

First save point for Osvaldo Acuña. The Gallos espirituanos were terrible defensively, committing six errors.
