In the Tourism sector, activities were concentrated in the Avilanian province for the World Day of Safety and Health at Work, a day that is celebrated every April 28 to promote labor protection against accidents and occupational diseases.
The Hotel Ciego de Ávila was the scene of a simulation of the extraction of victims in the pool by the Fire Department, the Cuban Red Cross and lifeguards from the Islazul chain, as well as talks and conversations on how to guarantee in each tourist facility a safe and healthy work environment.
Odelaisy Bonilla Padrón, Occupational Health and Safety specialist at the Islazul chain, explained that another of the purposes of the day is to promote workplace resilience in times of crisis, as well as the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.
The World Day for Safety and Health at Work ponders this year a safe and healthy working environment, within the mark of the fundamental principles and rights of the International Labor Conference.
