The I Cuban ICT Business Forum, organised by the Cuban Ministries of Communications and Foreign Affairs, will be held today in virtual format, through the TrueConf IT platform.

According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the event «is part of the strengthening of ties between Cuba and its nationals living abroad and is a continuation of the IV Conference The Nation and Emigration».

It also specifies that its objective is to «update Cubans living abroad on the policies and strategies being undertaken in the country in terms of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence».

This space, he adds, will be an opportunity to share experiences, exchange initiatives and strengthen collaborative relations with the guild of Cubans in the software industry and IT services based in other countries.

In addition, «opportunities for foreign investment in the sector will be presented, with the aim of establishing new ties of cooperation that will lead to a more digitised country for the well-being of all».

According to the programme, representatives from the Ministry of Communications, the Cuban Union of Computer Scientists, the Havana Science and Technology Park and Cuban diplomacy will participate.
