With changes to a line-up without Yoan Moncada and left-hander Dario Sarduy as the starting pitcher, Cuba will face Australia on Saturday in search of a win to keep alive their hopes of advancing to the Super Round of the Premier 12 baseball tournament.

It will be the third outing for the Caribbeans in Group B, after losing to the Dominican Republic and South Korea, and the team led by Armando Johnson decided to assign the catcher’s position to Rafael Viñales, in order to strengthen the offence.

More responsibility for Yadir Drake and Yoelquis Guibert add to the variants agreed for the starting line-up, which will have Jean Harvin Walters at third, because Moncada, hit on Thursday by a pitch on his right hand, is not yet fit to play.
