Obtaining in the last hours of the National Award for Technological Innovation 2022 represents an exemplary response by the workers of the avilanian Ciegoplast company, to the call to put their hands and heart to the Homeland with the celebration of the upcoming May Day, International Day of the working class.

This group received recognition for the impact that made it possible to substitute imports, meet production and sales plans to maintain the stability of the high-density polyethylene pipe and fittings industry for investments in the hydraulic system in the country.

The package of solutions applied in the productive and organizational process of the entity, not only had a million-dollar economic effect, but also an environmental and social impact due to the recycling and reuse of waste from the production lines that favored the manufacture of cages for the intensive fish farming, the nozzles of the water treatment plants and the manufacture of parts that led to the recovery of equipment and provision of services in health institutions, according to the Master of Science, Sergio Barrios García, general director of the Ciegoplast Company.

In addition to the award for the impact of their inventiveness, delivered by the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment, this labor group ratified the status of National Vanguard and will be stimulated by the CTC in the activities to honor May Day.
