He participated in 17 National Series, four Development Leagues and two Super Leagues.
Born on 31 March 1974, in La Rosa, Morón, Ciego de Ávila, the former catcher achieved Olympic glory in Athens, 2004, and also took part in the 1999, 2003 and 2005 World Cups, winning two gold medals and one silver.
He wore the uniform of the Cuba team in the First World Classic, 2006, where they disputed the title with Japan, among other events.
When he left the active sport, he took over the direction of the Avila national team, winning three crowns, two second places, a third and a fourth, simply excellent.
After winning the second crown with the Avila Tigers, he was elected Technical Director of the national team, replacing Victor Mesa.
