For the first time in the municipality of Majagua, a call is being made to compete in an event of musical creation and interpretation, which will be called «Little Mockingbird» and will take place as part of the activities of the summer stage 2024.

Although the competition is aimed at children, the age of the performers must be between 8 and 15 years old, there are no limitations in the case of composers.

The same creator can present more than one work, as long as it is not the same child who performs it for the jury, who will award three prizes, in addition to the prize for popularity or Cubanness, among other incentives that may be awarded.

Nicdiel Lezcano Quintero, a member of the organising committee, said that the deadline for submitting works will be open until 30 June, in all cases unpublished compositions and those authors who present difficulties regarding the presentation of the music, the specialists of the Casa de Cultura La Edad de Oro, the institution sponsoring the event, are in a position to offer the corresponding advice.
