Cuban Personnel Evacuated from Iran Following Israeli Attacks

The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex) confirmed today that women and children from Cuba’s Embassy in Tehran, Iran, were evacuated due to Israeli aggression against the Middle Eastern nation.

Foreign Secretary Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla stated that evacuated personnel included one minor and three Cuban journalists residing in the Iranian capital. On social media platform X, Rodríguez Parrilla clarified that the diplomatic mission maintains daily operations and consular services for Cubans resident in the Persian nation.

«Women and children of @EmbaCubaIran were evacuated following Zionist aggression against  Iran. This included one minor and 3 Cuban journalists resident in Tehran. Our mission maintains daily work and consular attention for Cubans resident in the Persian nation.»

The evacuation follows Israel’s initiation of «Operation Lion’s Birth» on 13th June – a series of strikes targeting Iran’s nuclear programme. Tehran responded within hours with counterstrikes on Israeli territory, marking six consecutive days of escalating conflict as of Thursday.
