Works evaluated at the 36th National Cuban Radio Festival

The jury of the 36th National Cuban Radio Festival has begun its evaluation sessions, a process that will last until 23 May, according to the Cuban Radio website.

The note explains that renowned professionals in the field will analyse more than 600 competing works in this event, considered the most important for Cuban radio broadcasters, which will have its final days from 3 to 8 June in Camagüey.

In this edition, the text confirms, ten Grand Prizes will be awarded, highlighting the recognition of productions that best reflect: The impact of bankarisation on the economic transformation of the country, issues of local incidence, linked to the concerns of the population, interaction with the public through social networks and the use of Artificial Intelligence in the digital public space.

The Festival will also promote radio creation in areas related to the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and the Hermanos Saíz Association, promoting innovation and sound art.

At the official constitution of the jury, Roberto Bruce Trujillo, Policy expert of the Cuban Radio Programming Directorate, highlighted the contribution of all the provinces to the call for entries and the creative environment generated among the filmmakers, despite the current economic challenges.

In closing, the publication clarifies that the works in competition were broadcast between 15 August 2024 and 30 April 2025, reflecting the diversity and quality of radio production in the country.
