With the objective of promoting the economic and social development of the people’s council of Vicente, the authorities evaluated the action plan of the Decisive Effort program, to greet the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
The above transcended in a multi sector meeting chaired by Julio Gómez Casanova, member of the Provincial Committee of the Party and its first secretary in the municipality of Ciego de Ávila, where the tasks to be developed were made known.
Tomas Alexis Martin Venegas, governor of Ciego de Ávila, called on the directors of the different organizations to promote integrated community work, taking into account that four of the seven vulnerable communities in which work is being carried out in the territory belong to this demarcation.
He pointed out that the activities are aimed at improving the living conditions of the inhabitants of the community which includes five settlements, including the town of Quesada.
Among the works to be executed are the improvement of the roads, the construction of sidewalks and a recreation park, the repair of the carpentry in the primary schools of Vicente and the settlement of Holguinero, the Social Circle of the village of Quesada, the warehouses and the improvement of the sports area.
The completion and delivery of the houses under the subsidy program, which still have construction delays, was one of the main points of the exchange, as well as the solution to specific cases of houses for mothers with more than three children.
