Under the theme «The 2030 Agenda and the University for Sustainable Development», the XV International Scientific Convention UNICA 2022 will be held in Ciego de Ávila from October 17 to 21 of this year.

The event, which will be held at the Pullman Hotel in Cayo Coco in the tourist destination «Jardines del Rey» in the province, has among its objectives the discussion of the main problems and challenges of Higher Education worldwide, regionally and specifically for Cuba.

Dr. Yurisbel Gallardo Ballat, president of the Organizing Committee, stated that it will be a space for the exchange of experiences and popular knowledge in the academic and research sector, from the commitment of Science and Technological Innovation for sustainable development.

Automation and Computerization of society; Science of Physical Culture and Sports; Pedagogical Sciences and Education; Social Sciences and their responsibility with development; Sustainable Agricultural Development, Sustainable Tourism Management; Innovation in inclusive and sustainable development; Agricultural Engineering and precision agriculture, among others, make up the agenda of the event.

The program includes a series of lectures by Dr. C. Manfred Büchele, director of the Obstbau Bodensee (KOB) Competence Center in Ravensburg, Germany, and Eng. Francisco Amérito Sirvente, Professor at the University of San Juan, Argentina, the latter focused on humor to learn and teach better, from the neurosciences.

With the participation of more than 100 delegates and the representation of 14 countries, the XV International Scientific Convention UNICA 2022 will be held in Ciego de Ávila, from October 17 to 21 of this year.
