In order to broaden its cognitive action radius, the Máximo Gómez Báez University of Ciego de Ávila (UNICA) promoted an academic exchange with the Ibero-American Network of Leadership and Educational Practices RILPE and the Investiga a Chiloé Foundation.

At the Manuel Ascunce headquarters of the university, Avilanian teachers and directors of the Social and Humanistic Sciences and Pedagogical Sciences faculties took part in the activity.

The objective of RILPE is to promote and disseminate the principles and values of inter-institutional and international academic collaboration and integration, in order to contribute to the strengthening of the quality of Higher Education.

The Investiga a Chiloé Foundation is also involved in the study and dissemination of educational technologies and their innovations and is a non-profit institution, which has already established exchange links with the University.

UNICA is undergoing constant renewal and exchange with educational centers in other countries to update its cultural heritage and thus contribute to the development of the economic and social life of the province.
