The Electrical Union estimates an availability of 2 310 MW and a maximum demand of 2 950 MW for Thursday’s night-time peak, for a deficit of 640 MW, so that if the expected conditions are maintained, 710 MW will be affected at this time.
From 06:38 a.m. onwards, the service began to be affected by a shortfall in generation capacity.
SEN availability at 7 a.m. is 2 150 MW and demand is 2 240 MW, with 85 MW affected.
It is estimated that 400 MW will be affected by midday.
Unit 5 of CTE Mariel, unit 2 of CTE Santa Cruz, unit 5 of CTE Nuevitas and unit 2 of CTE Felton have breakdowns. Unit 1 of CTE Santa Cruz is under maintenance.
The limitations in thermal generation are 476 WW.
There are 61 distributed generation plants out of service due to fuel, the Regla and Melones plants, for a total of 579 MW affected by this concept.
For the peak, the entry of unit 2 of CTE Santa Cruz, with 60 MW, and the recovery of 100 MW that are out of service due to fuel in distributed generation plants is estimated.
Yesterday the service was affected by a generation capacity deficit in the SEN from 10:26 a.m. to 01:57 a.m. this Thursday.
The maximum effect during the day was 766 MW at 8:40 p.m., coinciding with the peak hour. Deficit higher than planned due to the non-entry of units 5 of CTE Mariel, unit 2 of CTE Santa Cruz and the exit of unit 5 of CTE Renté.
