Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel traveled to Venezuela to participate in the 23rd Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People’s Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), to be held there today.
In ratifying his attendance, the President stressed in the X partner network the urgency of further strengthening this integration mechanism, which the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, described as an unprecedented example of revolutionary solidarity.
The meeting in Caracas is expected to include the presentation of the Strategic Agenda 2030, recently announced by ALBA-TCP Executive Secretary Jorge Arreaza to the delegates of the Meeting for a World Social Alternative, with five horizons: economic, political, social, cultural and communicational.
The previous ALBA-TCP summit was held in December 2022 in Havana, Cuba, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the bloc as an instrument for the union of peoples, based on the principles of solidarity, social justice, cooperation and economic complementarity.
