The distinction Cultural Heritage of Morón was awarded to the Festival Silencio Azul Miguel de los Santos In Memorian, which has been held in the city of Morón since 2000 and enjoys great acceptance among participants, performers and the general public.

Héctor Hernàndez Hernández, director of Culture in the territory, presented Magaly Cruz, who was the wife of its main promoter, with a certificate that accredits the event with the category that endorses it for its tradition and high level of popular participation.

The Festival honours an emblematic melody entitled Silencio Azul, written by Santiago Arias Martínez and composed by Francisco Consuegra, considered the romantic hymn of the city of El Gallo.

For lovers of the most romantic of musical genres, listening to Silencio Azul, anywhere, inside or outside the country, immediately brings to mind the nights of enchantment and love that accompany such a particular creative event in a city that is distinguished by the defence of its identity.
