Students start new school year in Ciego de Ávila

Certain that there are plenty of reasons to be the first to study and continue making history, a total of 68,554 students started the 2022-2023 school year in Ciego de Ávila, this November 28, after a brief pause in the calendar.

Nolberto Roche Noa, deputy director of Education in the province, explained that the 394 institutions opened in the territory have the material basis of study and life adjusted to the economic situation of the country.

The leader affirmed that Primary, Basic Secondary and Technical and Professional Education are among the levels with the greatest difficulty in coverage, but no student will be left without a teacher in front of the classroom because the needs are covered with an increase in the teaching load and hourly contracts.

Roche Noa insisted that schools are the safest place for children and adolescents, where they will continue to cultivate knowledge and called on the family to accompany the students in independent study from home.

Under the premise of continuing to strengthen the teaching-learning process, the 2022-2023 school year will be extended until July of next year, the last period in which curricular adjustments will be made.
