As of next July 21, the exhumations of those deceased by COVID-19 will begin in the Ciego de Ávila cemetery.

According to Yanet Montalvo, administrator of that cemetery, it will begin with the inhuman remains in state vaults on the same date, but in 2021.

In this sense, she explained the need for relatives to appear for the correct location of the skeletal remains, and said that those who cannot attend on the corresponding date should go to the necropolis office.

Likewise, she recalled that, since this step cannot be postponed, in the event that the relatives of the deceased do not go to the cemetery for the exhumation, this process will be carried out ex officio.
