Food production, compliance with energy saving measures and the indications issued for bankisation, as well as the results of price controls, are the focus of the visits of the highest authorities of Ciego de Avila to the municipalities.

This was stated to Radio Surco by Julio Gómez Casanova, First Secretary of the Party in Ciego de Ávila, who has headed seven Municipal Administration Councils together with Alfre Menéndez Pérez, governor of this province.

In these exchanges, the sugar cane and food programmes are analysed in depth, with emphasis on the fulfilment of the plans for planting sugar cane and various crops, including yams, sesame and plantain.

Gómez Casanova added that other issues checked in the municipalities are the domiciliation of payrolls, the expansion of electronic payment channels, and the control of the contributions of the new economic actors to avoid tax evasion.

In addition, he said, special attention is being paid to the collection of cash, which exceeds 30 million pesos a day, while fines have been imposed for price violations, electricity fraud and theft of transformer oil.
