Doctor of Medical Sciences Jorge Luis Carrera Martínez is representing Ciego de Ávila and Cuba at the 5th World Congress of Paediatrics, which is taking place in the US city of Las Vegas.

According to the Provincial Council of Scientific Societies (CPSC), Carrera Martínez is presenting a research paper entitled «Vascular conditions in neonatology and paediatrics, a view from angiology, vascular surgery and endovascular surgery».

In a communication with the CPSC, the local doctor said: «It is a pleasure to exchange experiences with colleagues from various countries who are defenders of medical education.

It was an honour to receive the certificate of participation from the President of the Congress. A day where the vascular surgeons made interventions from their experiences on peripheral vascular diseases in neonatology and paediatrics».

The thesis of Dr. Carrera Martínez is extremely comprehensive on ailments suffered by newborns and children in the vessels of the circulatory system and the lymphatic system.
