Army General Raúl Castro, leader of the Cuban Revolution, and Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, attended on Thursday the start of the Baraguá 2023 Strategic Exercise.
During the session, which took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint), they were informed about the preparation carried out by the country to guarantee defense, state security, and internal order, with high training of forces and modernization of technique, as reported by Cuban Television’s Noticiero Estelar in its stellar broadcast.
This exercise will be extended until next Friday, November 17, to consolidate the training and cohesion of the leadership and command structures of the Minint and the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) in close liaison with the people.
Also present were Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister; Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Party; General of the Army Corps Álvaro López Miera, Minister of the FAR; Major General Lázaro Álvarez Casas, Minister of the Interior, as well as other high-ranking officials of the Mining.
