Raicel González wins gold in the International Open Parathletics Tournament

Raicel González Isidoría won the double hectometer event and won with a time of 22.82 seconds in the International Open Parathletics Tournament held in Cali 2022.

«It is a very good record and I am happy because he had not run the 200 meters since 2015,» commented to the digital portal JIT from the Colombian city his coach Miriam Ferrer, who for years has been in charge of Raicel’s preparation.

This avilanian athlete, born on March 31, 1991, represented Cuba for the first time in an important international competition in 2011 at the Parapan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he won a silver medal in the 100 meters.

Raicel González was silver medalist in the 200 meters at the London 2012 Paralympic Games in the T-46 category, as the highest achievement of his sports career.
