The first activities related to the Radio Festival in Morón began on Monday, with the work of the Programming and News juries, in charge of selecting the best productions that will represent Radio Morón at the Provincial event.

At the opening of the auditions, Alfredo Fernández Arcia, Provincial Director of Radio in Ciego de Ávila, pointed out that the Festival will serve as a prelude to two important celebrations: the 102nd anniversary of the birth of Radio in Cuba and the 75th anniversary of the station on 19 November.

He underlined the interest in the predominance of quality in works and news programmes, taking into consideration the importance of informing the people in the most varied genres, always in line with the truth.

The jury of the Informativo, made up of colleagues with experience in this field, stated that the first genres evaluated dealt with local issues of particular importance. (By: Leonel Iparraguirre González)
