The provincial act in Ciego de Ávila for the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Cuban Workers´ Central Union was held today at the Education Insurance and Services Company, chaired by Liván Izquierdo Alonso, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Partyin Ciego de Ávila.

This labor group received recognition from the political movement Avilanian Union, for its integral results during the past year, and the Municipal Committee of the CTC of Chambas, and the provincial bureaus of the Health and Energy Unions and mines.

In addition, the Municipal Committees of the CTC of Bolivia and Venezuela deserved recognition for their outstanding work during 2022, and the Industry and Communications Unions were highlighted. In the provincial act for the 84th anniversary of the Cuban Workers´ Central Union, the status of Martí Collective was granted to the Camilo Cienfuegos Military School and the Máximo Gómez Báez University, in homage to the 170th anniversary of the birth of José Martí.

Niurka Ferrer Castillo, general secretary of the CTC in Ciego de Ávila, highlighted among the actions of the day for the birthday of the union organization the holding of assemblies in the labor collectives for the presentation to the workers of the plan for the economy and the budget for this year.
