Magdiel Soto Avilés, telematics specialist in the wireless networks unit of the Territorial Division of the Telecommunications Company in Ciego de Avila, was distinguished along with other creators with the Award for the Greatest Impact.
The award, given by ANIR to innovators whose projects make a significant contribution to the economy and the development of the nation, was presented during the Innovation for Development Fair, which is being held at the Palacio de las Convenciones in Havana until 17 January.
The work of Master Soto Avilés offers a topological design that expanded the capacity of the mobile network, generated new income and avoided the purchase of hardware with the new 2G and 3G cells, and also responds to repeated requests for mobile signal in several popular councils of the Avileño territory.
The National Association of Innovators and Rationalisers (ANIR) on Wednesday presented the Award for the Innovator with the Greatest Economic and Social Impact, to around 40 outstanding workers from all sectors, who, through research, have responded to internal problems in their institutions to improve services, health and food production in the country.
