US neither mediator nor neutral, Palestinian leader in Lebanon says

Osama Hamdan, leader of the Palestinian Hamas movement in Lebanon, said today that the U.S. administration was never a mediator or neutral, it acts as a partner of the Israeli occupation.

For the Palestinian representative, Washington’s statements represent a deceptive operation aimed at creating pressure on the resistance, and «this will not succeed».

Speaking to the pan-Arab channel Al Mayadeen, Hamdan stressed that «one of the most important results of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation was to stop the US plans to shape the region and its future according to the interests of Washington and the occupation».

According to him, if the White House and Tel Aviv insist on continuing the genocide in Gaza, «we have no choice but to continue defending ourselves.»

At the same time, he renewed the rejection of the continuation of aggression, siege and starvation, and demanded that these issues be the beginning of any course of treatment for the events.

«We do not wait for anyone to give us victory, but create it ourselves,» he emphasized.

He rejected all Israeli media accusations regarding the departure of the head of Hamas in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, to Sinai, as well as the existence of disagreements within the ranks of the movement.

Incidentally, he stressed that the Resistance is not linked to individuals, despite their value and importance, but is the project of the Palestinian people on the road to liberation.

«The relations between the forces of the resistance axis were written with blood and sacrifices and cannot be scratched by black propaganda,» he noted.

In this context, he said that «the adoption by the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) of Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state confirms that the only path for the Palestinian people is resistance.»

According to Hamdan, there is pressure within the Israeli government to impose restrictions on worshippers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and he expressed that this issue will have repercussions.
