Sonia Luis López, Bárbaro González Santos, Yaima Capote Linares, Nancy Aguilar Rosales and Adán Espinosa Irosco, are among the more than 20 educators from the municipality of Ciego de Ávila awarded with the Distinction for Cuban Education.

Such recognition is granted by the Council of State in compliance with Decree Law Number 53 of 1982, to stimulate educators with relevant merits, and an outstanding integral contribution to the development of children, youth and adolescents.

The encouraged teachers and professors from Ciego de Ávila received this award from the highest authorities of the sector in the province, who assured that it is a privilege to have professionals like them among the ranks of the teaching profession.

Educators with 30 and 40 years of uninterrupted work were also honored at the meeting, as well as the speakers in the work commissions of the preparation seminar for the next school period, scheduled for the month of September.
