To spend as much time as possible at the side of the people in order to foresee and prevent problems from surprising us, encouraged the member of the Political Bureau and president of the ANPP, Esteban Lazo Hernández.
Esteban Lazo Hernández, member of the Political Bureau and president of the National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP), at the solemn ceremony in Santiago de Cuba, in which Manuel Falcón Hernández and Waldis González Peinado took office as governor and vice-governor, respectively, encouraged us to be at the side of the people for as long as possible in order to foresee and ensure that problems do not surprise us, and to think and act «with everyone and for the good of everyone», for the sake of better results.
The head of the Council of State, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Inés María Chapman Waugh, defended the principle of «emancipating ourselves by ourselves and with our own efforts, contained in the Fidelist concept of Revolution».
That the highest executive and administrative leadership of Cienfuegos should maintain permanent communication with the people in groups, neighbourhoods, communities and workplaces, in order to better lead the economic and social development of the territory, was the mandate of the member of the Political Bureau and Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, when presiding, in this province, the inauguration of Yolexis Rodríguez Armada as governor, and Rolando José Rajadel Alzuri, as vice-governor.
At the ceremony, which was also attended by Homero Acosta Álvarez, secretary of the ANPP, the head of government demanded respect for the autonomy of the municipalities, the improvement of relations between state and private management, and the fight against inflation, corruption and illegalities.
Likewise, in Villa Clara, Milaxy Yanet Sánchez Armas was presented as governor, and Noel Cecilio Chinea Pérez as vice-governor, in the presence of the deputy prime minister, Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, and Ana María Mari Machado, vice-president of the Parliament.
Marieta Poey Zamora (governor) and Lázaro Vicente Suárez Navarro (vice-governor) also took office in Matanzas, in a ceremony presided over by Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, member of the Political Bureau and secretary general of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba.
