A donation of 50 kilograms of medical supplies managed by the Association of Cubans in Toronto «Juan Gualberto Gómez», with the support of Together for Cuba, was received on Tuesday at the Roberto Rodríguez Fernández hospital in the city of Morón, Ciego de Avila.

These products, transported by a Sunwing airline plane, are destined for the care of patients who are still hospitalised due to injuries sustained in the traffic accident that occurred on 20 January on the road linking Ciudad del Gallo to Turiguanó Island.
Lessner Gómez Molina, director of the Cuban Tourism Office in Canada, thanked on Facebook the friends of the island for their constant support and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. «Cuba is not alone,» he said.
According to the newspaper Invasor, of the 59 patients who were referred to hospitals in Ciego de Avila and Morón after the accident that claimed the lives of seven people, only eight remain in hospital, including two women in critical condition.
