Cuba guarantees security, greater agility and simplification in visa application processes with the activation of a new electronic visa platform, assured the Minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos García.

According to the minister, the Evisa platform «is modern and secure» and also allows users to start their procedures online from any device connected to the Internet, García commented on the social network X.

Last May, the electronic tool was presented during the International Tourism Fair, and its aim is to improve efficiency and security at all stages of the process from application to border control.

The platform will also offer a more efficient and agile service to users who request it through Cuban consular offices abroad, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, via the Cubaminrex website.

Evisa saves the user from having to manage physical documents and constitutes a further step towards the modernisation of the consular system in the Caribbean country, the publication added.
