External evaluation teams from the Ministry of Public Health work at the Doctor Antonio Luaces Iraola General Provincial Hospital, in Ciego de Ávila, for the accreditation of some medical specialties of the institution.

The Cardiology, Gastroenterology and Natural and Traditional Medicine services undergo this assessment to test the effectiveness of their action protocols, in an effort to offer the best care to the population.

Dr. Alberto Moronta Enrique, deputy to the National Assembly of People’s Power and director of the Avilanian hospital, assured about this process: «We are committed to professionals and excellent medical care.»

And not only in healthcare, work is being done at the Doctor Antonio Luaces Iraola General Provincial Hospital, as progress is being made in the work carried out by EPASE, to waterproof its roof to eliminate leaks.

Despite the difficulties caused by the lack of some medical resources, the Avilanian hospital institution is in constant professional and constructive improvement.
