The march of the torches on the eve of the 170th anniversary of the birth of our apostle was another demonstration that the strength of his ideas are capable of illuminating the streets of Majagua and the hearts of its inhabitants.

This activity was preceded by an emotional student parade that allowed Nené Traviesa, Pilar, the Spanish dancer and Meñique, among other characters from the Golden Age, to walk through the historic center of the town and relive fond memories among the spectators.

Another witness of the heartfelt tribute to the most universal of Cubans was the show conceived for the occasion, where the voices of the children from the Children’s Circles became faithful promoters of the apostle’s work and pieces dedicated to him.

The program of activities for the 170th anniversary of the birth of José Martí Pérez, in the southwest of Avila, was also present in groups and communities, with the firm conviction that current and future generations require his ever-present teaching.
