The rhythmic band of the municipality of Majagua will represent Ciego de Ávila in the Regional Festival of these groups, which will take place next June in Villa Clara, according to Ebel Sarduy Galvín, Artistic Education methodologist in the Avilanian capital.
The above transcended during the show held at the provincial level this Thursday in the José Martí park, where that team won the Grand Prize, for the creativity and originality of its presentation.
At the meeting, dedicated to the 128th anniversary of the death in combat of the most universal of Cubans, the bands from the Sueños de América children’s circle and the Lázaro Tabío Special School, both from Ciego de Ávila, were also recognized, as well as that of the Antonio Maceo elementary school, from Chambas.
The jury, made up of methodologists, art instructors and other specialists, thanked the educators, the boards of directors of the centers and, especially, the family, for such a beautiful show, which is also expected to take place next school year.
