Joséito Hernández Included as Possible Manager of Los Tigres Team

Following the initial proposal of Isaac Martínez and Mario Vega as possible managers of the Ciego de Ávila baseball team after the death of Danny Miranda, the name of experienced strategist Joséito Hernández, a native of the province with an extensive track record in Cuban baseball, has now been added.

Hernández, a 1982 graduate of the Manuel Fajardo Higher Institute of Physical Culture, has worked as a pitching, infield and batting coach, in addition to standing out as a third-base coach. Sources close to the sport describe him as a deep connoisseur of baseball, with strategic vision, the ability to analyse the game, make decisions at crucial moments and motivate players.

His career includes participation in 24 National Series, Selective Tournaments and All-Star Games. He has been part of championship-winning teams with the Avilanian Tigres and the Matanzas Cocodrilos. He has also been part of the Cuba national team coaching staff on several occasions and has contributed his knowledge in leagues in Italy and Nicaragua.

For years, Joséito Hernández has been among the best coaches in the country, sharing experiences with renowned figures in Cuban baseball such as Renato Puerta, Felipe Sarduy, Lourdes Gurriel, Roger Machado, Víctor Mesa, Alfonso Urquiola, Jorge Fuentes, Darío Cid, Miguel Albán and Yorelvis Charles, among others.

Always open to dialogue, Hernández has stated that baseball has given him many satisfactions and that every day he strives to learn something new. His inclusion on the shortlist of possible Avilanian managers keeps expectation high in the provincial baseball environment.
