The Provincial Councils of Health Scientific Societies reach their 45 years of existence and among the celebration activities is the public recognition of outstanding personalities who have contributed significantly to the development of this scientific organisation.

In the province of Ciego de Ávila, 45 professionals from the Health sector will be selected from among doctors, stomatologists, nurses, psychologists, technologists, researchers, professors and managers.

The process is known as “45 Personalities for 45 Years” and is governed by a call, which specifies requirements that applicants for the referred recognition must meet.

Among the required requisites is having held the position of President or Vice President of a Provincial Chapter of a Scientific Society, possessing the status of Annual Health Prize winner in the province, having more than 10 scientific publications (articles, book chapters, manuals or others), and having coordinated or participated in research projects relevant to health in the Avilanian territory.

Other conditions are set out in the call with the purpose of recognising the work of professionals, integrated into the work of Health Scientific Societies.
