Educators in Ciego de Ávila Celebrate their Day

Among music, poems, poems and recognitions, educators in Ciego de Ávila celebrate their day, this December 22, in remembrance of that date, but in 1961, when Fidel Castro declared Cuba an Illiteracy Free Territory.

In cultural activities where the artistic talent of the students shone, the avilanian teachers receive the praise of their disciples, who are grateful for the embrace and the timely scolding, for being patient and helping them in the most difficult moments, regardless of the time and the thorny days.

During this month, recognition was given to those who stood out the most this year, in which they had to face complex processes with curricular adjustments and overcome the economic and energy difficulties of the country.

On this important date, they also received a letter of congratulations from the Minister of Education, Ena Elsa Velásquez Cobiella, in which she expressed her admiration and respect for the daily work they carry out with responsibility and sense of belonging.

In spite of the damages caused by the economic siege against the island, the avilanian educators grow every day to continue the teaching process and maintain the continuity of study within the reach of all.
