A work team headed by the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Ciego de Ávila Liván Izquierdo Alonso, together with the vice governor Hiorvanys Espinosa Pérez, evaluated the economic and epidemiological situation in Majagua.

In the meeting that was attended by the highest authorities of the avilanian southwest and representatives of entities and organizations, core aspects such as expenses, income, mercantile production and the actions carried out by the three base business groups, which are currently making losses, were discussed.

In this area, emphasis was placed on the political movement «Avilanian Beat for a January of Victories», to conclude the delivery of land to a group of entities for the production of food, electricity savings and the creation of the bases, with a view to carry out the contracting process for the year 2024 in the coming months.

Regarding the infestation rates of the Aedes mosquito, this territory was considered one of the most complex in the province of Ciego de Ávila, which leads to not neglecting actions aimed at reducing contagion and thereby eliminating existing ones and preventing new blocks declared repetitive from emerging.

The occasion was also opportune to reflect on the need to continue sanitation actions with the support of the different factors in the community and that any person who presents symptoms of the disease go immediately to the doctor, taking into account that the main cause of aggravation of cases was for failing to comply with said guidance.
