With the panel «Fidel: His thought and relevance in the land of Avila», the members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution in Ciego de Avila greeted the 71st anniversary of the attack on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.
At the meeting, which was attended by combatants, historians, and workers from the Provincial Historical Archive and Citma, the book Audacia cultural. Fidel: imaginary; a compilation of articles, images and poems on the life and work of the undefeated Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution.
Those attending the meeting, which took place in the Fidel Hall of the institution, delved into the presence and materialisation in the context of Avila of three fundamental aspects: the unity of the Revolution, science and the role of Cuban history.
The panel was made up of Jesús Rojas Muguercia, ideologist of the Association; Rolando Maché Jaminson, its president; Ángel Cabrera Sánchez, Historian of the City, and Miguel Salazar Rodríguez, president of the Council of Social Sciences of the Territorial Delegation of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma).
