The celebrations for the 26th of July in the Ciudad del Gallo continue as a stimulus to those who contribute with their efforts to the development of the territory, the site of the provincial act for the anniversary of the Moncada in the province of Ciego de Avila.

On this occasion, personalities, institutions and artistic groups were recognised at the Gala held in the remodelled «Olga Alonso» Theatre of the Casa de la Cultura Haydee Santamaría.

A special part was dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the founding of MORON TEVE on 26 July 2007. Gala hosts Alfredo Fernández Arcia and Aneli Rodríguez Morales, both founders of the audiovisual medium, recalled that historic moment and mentioned some of the most memorable programmes in its history. Yarelis Reyes, director of the channel, received the recognition from Benito Martínez Ausina, member of the Provincial Party Committee and its first secretary, as well as Celia María López Reyes, president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, both in Morón.

Likewise, Héctor Hernández, Municipal Director of Culture, together with Rolando Valle, Vice Mayor of the city, and Orlando Concepción, Deputy to the National Assembly and Director of the De Morón Teatro Company, extended recognition to the ANAFILAXIA group of the movement of amateur artists in the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the territory, in the person of Moraima Mejías, art instructor, actress of the company and founder of the group.

The moment was opportune to recognise the trajectory as director of the Casa de la Cultura Haydee Santamaría to the performer Lucy Sanfont, for all the effort and responsibility in front of the institution, who now becomes president of the UNEAC in the Ciudad del Gallo.
