Fourteen Cuban entities are participating for the first time in the Russian Week of High Technologies Sviaz 2024, Ariadne Plasencia, president of the Informatics and Communications Business Group (GEIC), told Prensa Latina.
Initially, we identified the event as one of the most important in our sector, and as a good opportunity to actively participate and have a Cuban presence, Plasencia said.
Likewise, being here with a stand ratifies the possibility of becoming visible for access to technology, and being able to participate in collaborative projects, and on the other hand, to show the results of Cuban companies that can be part of the event’s program, said the director.
In the next edition of the Russian Week of High Technologies, the business group of Informatics and Communications wants to participate in presenting the event Informática 2026, which is held in Cuba every year, Plasencia pointed out.
For her part, GEIC’s Director of Information and Communication, Dianelis Borrego, said that the Caribbean nation’s exhibition has been very well received, and many other meetings have been held before the Exposition, both at the fairgrounds and in Russian counterpart institutions.
Borrego highlighted the joint meeting between Cubatel, Solintel, with the support of the President of IT Code with the Russian company PK, a possible supplier of fiber optic network solutions and other inputs for cable laying, as well as the meeting at the headquarters of the Economic Commission of the Eurasian Union.
