Multiple actions are being promoted in the northern keys of the Avileño municipality of Morón to conserve its natural values, even in the midst of the accelerated tourist development in the Jardines del Rey destination, which inevitably affects many of its natural resources.
In this sense, the environmental impact assessment processes for each facility that is built stand out, through which the conditions for its exploitation are established.
Similarly, some beaches on the Coco and Guillermo keys have been improved by dumping sand, and coastal dunes have been rehabilitated by planting native plants.
These actions contained in the Tarea Vida constitute a movement that responds to the political will to protect the ecosystems and their essential components, as part of the State’s priority for the conservation of areas in different regions. (Redacción Informativa R.M)
