The legacy of Camilo Cienfuegos for the new generations was highlighted this Friday during the Second Scientific Workshop on the Thought and Work of Fidel Castro Ruz at the Máximo Gómez Báez University in Ciego de Ávila.

Israel León Martínez, Head of the Department of History and Marxism, pointed out that the close bond and eternal friendship between both Commanders constitutes a very useful dialectical lesson on the historical continuity of the Revolution.

Not only the students and faculty of the university participated in the scientific workshop, but also representatives of the Martí and Fidel Castro Ruz Honorary Chairs, as well as members of the José Martí Cultural Society and researchers of the Provincial Historical Archive.

The occasion was propitious to inaugurate the Aula Magna Pedro Martínez Brito, a theater completely renovated as a specialized scenario for the teaching of History from research and community work in close integration with companies and institutions of the territory.
