The Bioplants Centre in Ciego de Avila awarded the title of Doctor of Science to four of its professionals, who obtained the high academic degree last year: Claudia Linares Rivero, Lianny Pérez Gómez, Osbel Mosqueada Frómeta and Leslie Hernández Fernández, all researchers at the scientific institution.

Doctoral training is one of the primary objectives of the Centro de Bioplantas Avileño, which boasts experts of a high professional level. Achieving genetically improved crops and higher-yielding crops is the primary purpose that drives the collective effort in plant research, contributing to feeding the population.
