The Cuban Chamber of Commerce reported that strategic sectors for economic and trade exchange between Belarus and the Cuban capital have been identified, following an extended meeting held last Friday by the parties involved.
Vitali Borchuk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in Cuba, held the meeting with Yanet Hernández Pérez, Governor of Havana, according to a statement from the Chamber on its Facebook profile.
The meeting was attended by managers of Cuban companies representing essential areas of the city and the province’s economy.
Borchuk presented Belarus’s export potential and highlighted the areas of interest for the Cuban side, including public services, agriculture, food, construction, pharmaceutical products, light industry and mechanical engineering.
The Cuban delegation expressed its interest in expanding bilateral cooperation with the aim of implementing comprehensive solutions aimed at improving the city and its surroundings.
Following the negotiations, new interaction mechanisms were identified that respond to the current situation of the country and the region.
