The UPEC base delegations select the best works for the Primero de Mayo and Saúl Rodríguez contests, in homage to the International Day of Workers and the Cuban Press

The members of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC) in Ciego de Ávila, present their best works to the XXXX Primero de Mayo 2023 National Journalism Award sponsored by the Central of Workers of Cuba (CTC), as part of the activities prior to the celebration of International Day of the working class.

In the base delegations of the press, the selection of the best works published from March 1, 2022 to February 2023, is carried out, in which works the protagonism of the workers and the role of the union movement in the economic battle and the provision of services to the people.

Among the topics of the call are those related to compliance with economic and budget plans, the role of innovators in solutions to technological problems, employment and salary policy, and attention to personnel as the main resource in the state and private business system.

The CTC will reward the actors of the 12 best works next April and will award a grand prize, a special prize and recognition to the most outstanding province in the event. The members of the UPEC of the Avilanian territory also participate in the Saúl Rodríguez Contest, convened by the provincial presidency of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC), which will stimulate the authors of the publications with the greatest impact in 2022 next March.
